We acknowledge that the land on which Cal Poly sits carries the heritage and culture of the Indigenous People of San Luis Obispo County, the yak titʸu titʸu yak tiłhini, Northern Chumash tribe.
Design Village is a competition hosted by Cal Poly’s College of Architecture and Environmental Design. The Design Village competition has a long history and has become one of the most anticipated events of the year for the college. True to our “Learn-By-Doing” philosophy, competitors follow the design process all the way from idea generation to realization, finally inhabiting the structures for the weekend to truly put their design skills to the test.
